More than 45,000AZN was raised and is funding new activities to promote the integration of children with disabilities to society.

Memmedov Memmedbagir is SP. Our organization has been acquainted him since 2003.We had taken his name from the polyclinic. When we went firstly they were happily that there is somebody who knocks their doors and interested in child. It was cleared that he was brought up.

An MBE was awarded to UAFA founder Gwendolyn Burchell, the founder of UAFA, for services to special education in Azerbaijan. The Queen made the award on June 23, 2004. |


The beginning of January, 2012 there was started a new project titled “Social Rights Development community-based strategies to include vulnerable and isolated children to pre-school education”. It is funded by the EU and will continue 2 years.
The end of the year is the usual time to look back at what has been achieved and think ahead at how much more there still is to be achieved! For an NGO like United Aid for Azerbaijan (UAFA), our focus will always be on how many more disadvantaged children and families can we reach, how can we improve our services for them, and what will be the next steps for influencing State welfare reforms.

Bakcell, the first mobile operator in Azerbaijan, is pleased to announce the results of the SMS charity campaign conducted to support the expansion of the United Aid for Azerbaijan (UAFA) projects for disabled children. At the event, organized at Yasamal Сommunity-based Rehabilitation Center (CBRC), which is located at Baku Europe Lyceum, Bakcell presented a “Big Cheque” in the amount of 46,000 AZN to UAFA.
Yesterday, we were celebrating the Children’s Day at Saray. The event was funded by the International Women’s Club and organised by UAFA. It brought together children from local schools, Saray institution and the newly open Saray Day-care Centre. It was a great opportunity to bring people together and raise awareness about special needs children and their abilities.
